Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program

An opportunity to connect with our high achievers!

The Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP) is a unique personal and professional development program designed especially for students who join Deakin on a prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Academic or International Excellence Scholarship.

Throughout the VCPEP, Scholars receive individual support from DeakinTALENT to assist them in achieving their personal and professional goals during their course. This includes a variety of group events and workshops, individual academic mentoring, one-on-one development meetings, annual personal and professional challenges and a formal celebration dinner hosted by our Vice-Chancellor each year. Scholars are challenged to step out of their comfort zone and are supported to develop the skills employers are looking for in graduates today.

An integral part of this program are our employer partners. By hearing about the future world of work, the importance of developing skills and capabilities beyond academic success and the value that transferable skills will provide them, our Scholars are taking notice and committing to their development throughout the program.

The VCPEP aims to develop high potential students to achieve beyond their expectations – to make a significant contribution to their community and empower them for the jobs and careers of the future.
